Our Story — feed your skin superfoods
Ancient Greek Superfoods. For Your Skin.
Not inspired by Greece. Made from it.
There are thousands of natural skincare brands in the world. Most of them borrow from nature. A botanical extract here. A superfood complex there. Words designed to feel premium on a label.
Santorini Sun Beauty does not borrow from nature. We come from it.
The Founder
I was born in Melbourne, but Greece raised the part of me that became Santorini Sun.
As a child, I spent years visiting my grandparents' orange vineyards in Laconia, Greece. I remember watching them turn what grew around them — Greek superfoods, straight from the soil — into remedies for their skin. No labels, no marketing. Just rich earth, relentless sun, and ingredients that worked. That's where my obsession with skincare began.
As I got older, I started paying closer attention to what was actually in the products lining our shelves. Too much of it was synthetic — cheap fillers doing the work that real ingredients should have been doing, while the real budget went to marketing, not formulation. That gap is what sent me back to study natural formulation properly, and to become a certified formulator myself.
That's when the real magic clicked into place: certain natural ingredients have their own chemistry — a science-backed ability to balance the skin and deliver potent anti-aging and nourishing benefits, if you know how to work with them. Not folklore. Chemistry.
Santorini Sun exists to bring that chemistry to you.
Every formula starts with ingredients sourced directly from Greek farmers — grown in the terroir I grew up around, not just labelled "Greek" for the story. We collaborate with trusted manufacturers here in NSW to bring it all together, so every product is as rigorously made as it is rooted in heritage.
This is a promise, not just a product line: I will keep researching, keep formulating, and keep bringing you Greek superfoods that genuinely feed your skin — for years to come.

The Ancient Greek Superfoods
Every ingredient in every Santorini Sun product comes from the Greek Mediterranean world. Every one has centuries of documented human use. Every one is now validated by modern science.
Μαστίχα — Chios Mastic
PDO-certified. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. One island. 24 villages. Trees that take 40–50 years to mature. Used by Ancient Egyptian embalmers, Byzantine empresses, and prescribed by the physician Dioscorides in 1 AD. Scientifically proven to inhibit collagenase and elastase — the enzymes that destroy collagen and elastin as you age — while simultaneously stimulating fibroblasts to build new collagen from within. Swiss biochemistry labs built a natural retinol alternative from it and patented it. Korean beauty discovered it in 2015. We had it first.
Φραγκόσυκο — Prickly Pear Seed Oil
8 tonnes of fruit. 1 million seeds. 36 hours of manual labour. One litre of oil. ~$2,000 per litre wholesale — one of the most expensive carrier oils on earth. 150% more Vitamin E than argan oil. The highest betalain antioxidant concentration of any plant on earth — stronger than goji, acai, and beetroot combined. Phytosterols researchers say can actually reverse the effects of ageing. It is in the Golden Ora Face Serum. For $39.
Αθάνατο — Helichrysum (Immortelle)
The Everlasting Flower — it never wilts, even after being cut. Grows only in rocky Mediterranean terrain. Costs up to €2,000 per litre to produce. Intensely regenerating, anti-inflammatory, and proven to accelerate cellular repair. Luxury houses build entire product ranges around this single ingredient. It is one of five Greek superfoods in Golden Ora.
Ρόδι — Pomegranate Seed Oil
Sacred to Aphrodite. The fruit of immortality in Greek mythology. The seed oil contains Omega-5 punicic acid — found in almost no other plant oil on earth. Rebuilds skin at a cellular level. Protects against UV-induced collagen breakdown.
Λιβάνι — Frankincense
More precious than gold to the ancient world. Burned in temples. Traded across empires. On skin: tightening, refining, perfecting. Cleopatra documented its use in her skincare rituals. In every drop of Golden Ora.
Why Santorini Sun Is Different
Korres started in a Greek pharmacy with liquorice root. Apivita started in a Greek bee farm with propolis. Both built global empires not from marketing — but from an ingredient truth so specific, so Greek, so scientifically credible that no multinational could manufacture the same story.
Santorini Sun has the same foundation. We are the ancient Greek superfood skincare brand. The ingredients are real. The heritage is real. The science is real. And there is nothing else like it.
